During my master studies in Biomedical Engineering in Sweden I majored in Image and Signals and Control. I had the opportunity to get in touch with diagnostic image related topics such as MRI, fMRI, CT reconstruction algorithms, Dynamic contrast-enhanced MRI, Diffusion tensor imaging scan or multimodal co-registration of CT and MR data among others.
Here in the High Field MR Center I have had the opportunity to get deeper experience on MR sequence optimization in C++ and image post-processing with MATLAB. The focus of my Master Thesis has been the optimization of a recent MR technique such as chemical exchange saturation transfer (CEST) at ultra-high magnetic field strength (7T) on phantoms.
I feel specially motivated by the clinical applications of MR Imaging and Spectroscopy. Therefore, I expect to get more involved with MR sequence design, especially for advanced MR imaging techniques, and include patients studies in my oncoming PhD research.
